Maria Cammarata is an attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Florida Atlantic University and her law degree (J.D.) from Ohio Northern University.
Ms. Cammarata is available to assist in all areas of Special Education Law throughout the state of Florida. Ms. Cammarata consults with families and provides legal representation and consultation for IEP meetings, settlement negotiations, mediation, manifestation hearings, Due Process Hearing, general educational needs and many other areas relevant to special education law.
Ms. Cammarata's work in Special Education began several years ago when her oldest son entered the world of “IEPs.” After experiencing many rewarding challenges helping families and friends in similar situations, she decided to move away from her business law practice and devote most of her time to advocating for students with disabilities.
In addition to her deep commitment to her clients, she serves the disability community by volunteering for a number of organizations. Ms. Cammarata also holds several complimentary parent workshops each year and presents for many national and local disability organizations. Ms. Cammarata founded an organization that provides Applied Behavior Analysis Services to individuals with autism and related disabilities (Reveresco ABA Therapy, LLC ). Since 2009, the organization has served as a resource and support for many families.
Ms. Cammarata’s unique experiences, both personal and professional, provide her with the background, education and compassion that helps her best represent her clients. She is a member of the Florida Bar Education Law Committee, Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), Epilepsy Legal Defense Fund, and the Autism Society of Broward County. Ms. Cammarata has also earned an M.Ed. in Special Education to further enhance her skillset and education so that she can be a better advocate for her clients.
Franco Cammarata is an attorney licensed to practice law in the states of Indiana and Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Valparaiso University in Indiana and his law degree (J.D.) from Ohio Northern University. Additionally, he has a Masters degree in Special Education (M.Ed.) from Arizona State University that included an embedded course sequence in applied behavior analysis. Mr. Cammarata is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Mr. Cammarata's legal experience includes a strong corporate and business law background. His most rewarding work is when he advocates for individuals with disabilities. Like Maria, he was introduced to the intricate world of special education advocacy when their eldest son was diagnosed with autism.
